Carrollton of the Artist Guild members are invited to give new life to old objects. As a society, we are surrounded by nonfunctional, abandoned, and discarded items that usually end up being thrown away. This year, the CCA challenges artists to instead explore the possibility of creative sustainability by utilizing such forgotten objects as a part of their art production. A painter may find an old cabinet door to use as their canvas or incorporate old book papers into their works. A potter may use plastic caps and other leftover objects to stamp their artwork to create beautiful patterns. A sculptor could build entire pieces out of old wires and tech. The variations on the theme are endless and can allow artists the freedom to play and experiment.
Open to: Carrollton Artist Guild Members. (Members must be in good standing and membership dues must be current.)
