This presentation is intended for your use to inform and perhaps inspire your work for the upcoming benefit exhibition. This information should give those of you unfamiliar with Ukraine and its cultural heritage a good starting point to dig deeper, should you find inspiration. How you transform the symbolisms, forms, and techniques within your own media is up to you, but I am sure you will appreciate the designs and the spirit of a people who clearly love beauty and good craftsmanship!

I have highlighted significant artists from a variety of disciplines, focusing on the craft arts in particular to appeal to as many of you as possible. Many of these examples come from a utilitarian need and the desire of the common folk to bring beauty and expression to their lives.
